New in 2009! Six Flags Great Adventure transforms the world’s first floorless, looping coaster, Medusa to deliver a multi-sensory ride experience with all-new thematic and innovative, state-of-the-art visual, audio and sensory effects!

Beginning July 4, Six Flags Great Adventure will debut one of the most dynamic fireworks series with “Saturday Night Lights” every Saturday night at 10 pm through September 5.

See the park in a whole new light with the GLOW IN THE PARK Parade which brings the park’s streets to life with dramatic state-of-the-art floats, the sounds of cirque-style music and thousands of sparkling lights.


The park also features four kids’ areas including “Wiggles World” offering pint-sized adventures such as The Big Red Car ride, The Big Red Plane ride, Dorothy the Dinosaur’s Racing to the Rainbow Balloon ride, Bouncin’ with Wags ride and the S.S. Feathersword Pirate Ship.  There is also a restaurant called the Yummy Yummy Café. 

Right next door at Six Flags Wild Safari guests will take a one-of-a-kind journey in the Wild Safari Exploration Station, featuring hands-on safari adventures and educational and exciting animal shows.  Six Flags Wild Safari and shuttle service is FREE with a theme park ticket package purchased from NJ TRANSIT.  Customers must present the Safari stub attached to the Six Flags Great Adventure admission ticket and show their receipt for transportation at Guest Relations.

To Purchase Packages: Bus Route No. 308 Ticket Packages are available from NJ TRANSIT ticket agents at New York Port Authority Bus Terminal and Newark Penn Station. Bus Route No. 318 Ticket Packages are available from NJ TRANSIT ticket agents in Camden/Walter Rand Transportation Center and Greyhound Terminal in Philadelphia.

Bus Route No. 307 customers boarding at Freehold to Six Flags Great Adventure can also save up to $38.18 on admission by showing their bus receipt at guest services when an admission ticket is purchased.

Hurricane Harbor Operating Schedule: 

WILD SAFARI:  Will be open every theme park operating day from 9 am to 4 pm.  Wild Safari is closed Fridays during Fright Fest.  Also open select days for VIP Tours and educational programs – visit sixflags.com for details.
